It's a winter wonderland in the Poconos.
The Christmas tree had been installed on the afternoon of my arrival. That evening after supper, the dining room became a collection of carolers and festive lights, cookies and hot chocolate, popcorn and laughter.
I placed a pink ornament on the tree. And so far, so good on the writing front.
A Christmas tree in an ashram? Seems incongruous and I remain unenlightened as to the raison d'ĂȘtre of ashrama. Whilst all-inclusive is preferable to all-exclusive, the kumbaya of it all serves only to raise the red flags of my already dubious disposition. Perhaps I over-think. Do they have a balm for cynicism?
