July 3

Getting ready for Uncompahgre Peak
14,309 feet

Uncompahgre means "water that makes rock red" in Ute,
or "hot springs water" by another translation.

This looks very organized for the picture. But it doesn't reflect my brain. Too much on the list. First, an overnight at Kinsman in the White Mountains, NH. Then two more practice day hikes on Pleasant Mountain. And a final packing, shuffling, mailing ahead, and then, GO GO GO.

Coffee might be a factor in this post.
