Miracles

 
Driving to the lake house there is a hill that, once crested, reveals an apple orchard on the left.  Just now, every tree in the orchard is in white bloom, perfumed with blossoms calling to the bees.  Often the storms accompanying the month of May blow all the apple petals to the ground like a blizzard and the impressive, but elusive moment, passes without witness.  This year our breath-holding has kept all the blossoms intact.

    1. Blossoms
    Here in the high country, it is cherry blossoms that, surviving the spring freezes and westerlies, cascade down to eight furry cur feet and end their brief tarriance ground into the kitchen tiles.
    2. Miracles
    It is a miracle that you, at your age, are still coherent after consecutive 5K's. Most of our personal miracles have already happened. We just didn't recognize them at the time.

    Sorry, I will respectfully disagree. A good share of personal miracles are yet to come. Just you wait and see.
